Head low, tail half-tucked, the Shaman limped heavily into her den. She pawed together some moss and down for Valentina to lay while she checked on her. She began to flop down and wait on her, when she decided, I /could/ heal myself as I wait . . . it only makes sense, and the gang probably won't mind. Straightening up, she thought to herself, But I'll stop when they come in!
She poked her nose into some of the pungent herbs and pulled out a small mess of cobwebs. But they stuck all over her whiskers as she tried to apply them. She heard a small laugh, and whipped around.
The young white dog stopped chuckling abruptly, and lowered his head in shame. Eyes guilty, he asked, "Do . . . do you want me to help with that, ma'am?"
"Wh-what?" Triss trotted closer to Cody. He looked pretty tough, with his well-developed muscles, and handsome too, but nonetheless kind. She reminded him of the bouncy setter, but with a different seriousness. "Er . . . if you want . . . I mean . . ." No dog had ever wanted to help her apply herbs, nor cobwebs, especially.
Cody smiled and pawed the rest of them together, then began to apply them to her side. "It looks kind of infected, Trisscar," he said.
"O-over there's some chervil; that one, the green one."
Picking it up in his mouth, he let her instruct him to crush it and drizzle the juice into her wound. Then he pressed the cobwebs to her side, to stop the bleeding.
"Th-thanks . . ."
"My name's Cody," he barked, pawing webs off of his muzzle. Triss gave an awkward smile and did the same, then dipped her head gratefully. Chervil:

Tyrant smiled as he padded slowly into the den to find Cody beside Triss, the shaman's wound bound with cobwebs. The large dog settled to the side of the entrance, like a great aubern sentinel, to overlook the proceedings.
"I'm glad you've found someone to help you, Triss," Tyrant said warmly, smiling at Cody.
Aubern head turned, dark auds perked, as the large Rhodesian Ridge Back Top Dog waited for the arrival of Laion and Valentina.
ooc: Wow... really bad post. Sorry, all.

The gold and black wolf Laion, adorned with his scarlet husky sister atop his back, came padding in a few steps behind his Lord, his foot steps heavy but not tired.
A half-smile crossed his features as he looked at each of the three dogs within the den in turn, his wide blue eyes dancing, and clearly thankful. Indeed, he could see why Valentina had joined this gang above all others, as these dogs were truly something else.
He crouched down and slid Valentina off his back, who landed heavily on her feet, somewhat crouched down herself. Slowly she stood up, thick plume swaying behind her, as she looked around the den, as though to prove that she was really fine. It was all she could do however to keep her legs from buckling underneath her. She was ashamed of having fainted, and did not want to appear any weaker than she already had.
Laion stood by her side, a look of worry still on his face, ready to catch her if she fell. Valentina flicked her velvet ears back and licked his cheek affectionately, took a step away from him and offered him a reassuring smile, and then padded over to the small nest Triss had made. Laion sat quietly next to Tyrant. Head hung low and fidgeting quite often.
A small, thankful smile played at her black lips as she looked at Triss and Cody, but when her icy pools fell on Tyrant, whom she hadn't noticed was already in the den, her smile widened to an ivory grin, her piercing eyes holding a sparkling quality they'd lacked only moments before. Her tail waved happily on its own, and under her creamy fur, her cheeks were warm.
She tore her eyes away from him and laid down on the bed, her arm exposed to Triss. Reverie had done a wonderful job of cleaning her fur, but the wound itself, though no longer bleeding profusely, was pink and raw and shining. If Valentina had laid still after the fire and rested, instead of running around and being active, it would have stayed closed; but as she was such an active femme---watching over Reverie, trying to prevent fights and even attempting to defend Tyrant---it had been too much stress on the wide gash to heal properly if at all.
The wolf-dog smiled warmly at the little black fox-dog, her eyes flicking over the cob-webbed wound in her side to Cody, the back to the shaman. "Thanks for doing this, Triss." she said, then laid her head down on her paws to let Triss do her thing, hoping that it wouldn't sting.

Trisscar, usually very quiet during the job, began talking softly as she looked at the wound. "I guess I don't need very many cobwebs at the time," she sighed, beginning to search through her herbs once more. She gave Cody a lopsided smile as he watched intently. She looked at it again. It seemed hardly infected, but she would have to be careful.
Rummaging through her herbs, she found what she needed to help it heal. On a leaf she had placed a poultice containing goldenrods. She put it on Valentina's wound. "Th-that should help it heal. But in case it's infected . . ." she muttered as she worked, half to herself. She brought out a yellow flower from the pile. Ripping the leaves off, she set them down by Cody. "Please . . . er, Cody . . . could you apply that?" As he was chewing it, the white dog thought, Man, this dog's amazing . . . so smart . . . pretty-- His thoughts were curtailed, and he actually jumped. THe shaman couldn't help herself but laugh a little. Shoot . . . I like her giggle! Bring yourself together! Think of Sadie! Sadie was his best friend in the world at home, besides his humans. He wished he could see her again.
That did the trick. Out of his daze, he applied the marigold leaf to Valentina's wound. "Twissacar told meh it was ter p'event infekins," he mumbled as he licked the wound very gently, brown oculi flickering to the blue-and-cream wolf towering above the rest. He dipped his head to Triss, ready to help.
The vulpine trotted up to Valentina, empty-mouthed. "Erm . . . we took care of infections and such, but I need to know . . . is it burned, or something . . . because other than that everything's taken care of."
She looked up at Lord Tyrant, with a small smile flickering across her maw. "Do you remember when I had . . . Reverie . . . eat that chickweed? Her tail must itch a lot . . . if you chew it up and drizzle it over her tail, it should stop irritation." She dropped the familiar weed at his chestnut paws. ((Cody's my comic relief guy . . . Here's the herbs. 'course you may remember chickweed)) Marigold~ Chickweed~

Valentina shook her head slowly, thinking back to the incident, trying to recall details for the first time since it happened.
Reverie was clawing at the door frantically, her paws were already bleeding from tearing up a boulder of plaster, and then I tried to open the door by the handle, but it was scorching and burned my paws... she flipped her paws over and looked at them. The pads were a little pink but they were not raw and sore. Nothing to worry about. She crossed them again casually.
And then we rammed the door...it didn't give the first time, but the second time I made it through, then Rev followed. That's when it happened! We rammed the door, and it got lodged in my arm, so...it's only a wound...not a burn, unless the door was scorched...
She shook her head again, then turned to Triss. "I don't know if it's burned or not...anyway, that feels a lot better. Thanks, Triss." she nuzzled Triss's ear and got to her feet, wavering for only a second before she braced herself. Laion had taken a step forward, ready to help, but Valentina had braced herself, and gave him a look that clearly said she was determined to to get back to the Hollow herself. Laion sighed wearily, but he had a smile on his face nonetheless. He got up and padded out of the den without saying a word.
Valentina padded to the exit of the Hollow, then stopped and looked back. She offered Triss another smile, then padded slowly over to Tyrant. "I'm gonna head back to the Hollow now," she said, flicking her ears back and looking up into his mahogany eyes. "So I'll give these to Reverie if you want me to," She bent her rosy cranium and picked up the chickweed at Tyrant's paws, then smiled innocently at him, the white flower sticking out of the corner of her mouth. In her mind she was laughing at herself, her cynic conscience shouting SUCK UP!, but all her wolven features betrayed was a mysterious glint in her icy pools.

ooc: I'm testing out small font. hehe. Copying you, Cody. XP
Tyrant's jaws parted to allow a soft laugh to escape his lips as he listened to Cody speak. His eyes twinkling good naturedly, he dipped his head to the smaller Trissacar as she set a smalle pile of medicinal flowers at his paws.
"Thanks, Triss." He said, plume beating the ground.
Tyrant's dark auds perked as a silky voice grabbed his attention, and he turned to Valentina, lifting the Chickweed from the ground. Mahogany eyes met those of icy blue, and Tyrant felt his stomach lurch, and he swallowed the lump that formed in his throat with a slightly confused frown.
"Um... yeah. I think I'm going back too. I'll walk with you." Tyrant said. His first words were dreamy and confused, but his voice slowly steadied itself until he sounded his old self again.
Getting to his feet, Tyrant dipped his head in farewell to Triss, Cody and finally Laion, then turned and stepped out of the Shaman's den, glancing over his shoulder to make sure Valentina was following before beginning down the recently trodden path towards the Hollow.

At Tyrant's confused expression and the way his voice held that dreamy quality, the husky femme simply beamed at him, the chickweed twirling as she did so.
"Alright," she said, taking a step back so that he could lead the way out of the Hollow, padding at heels as fast as she could make her injured limb carry her.
As Tyrant stopped and looked back at her, she padded up next to him, her creamy cheeks again feeling very warm. She nuzzled his floppy ear, having to arch her neck a little as she did so, seeing as he was so much taller than herself. She couldn't seem to wipe the sheepish smile off her maw however, and came pretty close to dropping the tiny flower.
"Thanks for walking me," Valentina said quietly, then began to pad a couple steps ahead, running her silken plume underneath his muzzle playfully as she did so.
