Strider stood and called for Tyrant in a steady voice, but inside he was fuming. Stirder had heard that there was an old enemy of his. Devilish Delight, as he called himself. Strider snorted. He doubted anybody could be stupid enough to name themselves Devilish Delight. Well, that would be cleared up. He remembered the first time he had met Devilish... A growl sounded from the bushes. Strider whimpered. His wounds from being thrown out of a moving car in a box of trash. He was still a pup, and had no experience.
A huge dog entered the clearing, followed by a growling bull pit terrier. The bigger dog was a cross between a great dane, and a doberman pincher. A bad mix to get on the wrong side of. He was the size of a great dane, but with the looks of a doberman, with the attitude to go along with those teeth that seemed a foot long to the young pup.
"Well well well, Bone. What do we have here? A german shepherd pup, is it? Looks good an' healthy," growled the huge dog. Bone nodded and whimpered back, "Yes, lord Devilish. Of corse lord Devilish."
Lord? Strider tilted his head to the side. He didn't know there were lords... The older strider's thoughts were interumped by the swaying of branches. Hopfuly Tyrant, or even Reverie. OOC: Bone and Devilish Delight(He's a mix of the two)

OOC: Sorry, but can I reply? Besides Tyrant is busy and my chars are free! At the sound of a call not meant for her, Trisscar, the little shaman, appeared. She stopped immediately and stared at Strider, afraid. Anyone she didn't know who had a likeness to Espio was downright terrifying, even if she loved her half-brother now as her favorite sibling as she had none... And Espio looked like a black German Shepherd for the most part, so the outline was the scary part. Plus that she could feel the angry aura bouncing off of this dog.
"Yikes!" was an immediate gasp, and orbs widened in fear, pinnacles pinned tight against her black skull. She approached him in a submissive position, even if she had higher rank over this dog. "Ex-excuse m-me sir...do you know wh-where Lord Tyrant is? C-could you help me...find him...? It's...important..." She shivered as she looked at him.

Floppy fawn auds perked suddenly, and a tapering muzzle was lifted, onyx nostrils flaring as the Esterela Mountain dog inhaled deeply. She smelled Strider - his scent made it obvious that he was angry - and Trissacar, the shaman.
Reverie growled to herself. She didn't like the tone of Strider's call. Although is was steady, she could sense... something within it that made her hackles prickle.
Despite the fact that the call was meant for Tyrant, Reverie began towards its source. She had seen the Top Dog leave the Hollow with Valentina, and figured they were busy.
And beside, she wanted to find out what Strider needed.
"Strider?" She barked as the german sheepherd came into view. She flashed a brief smile at Triss and dipped her head in greeting, then turned back to her alsation friend, tail high, head tilted exectantly.

Reverie needn't of worried about Tyrant appearing. True, he was busy. But it just so happened that his tasks as Top Dog had brought him back to the Hollow anyway.
The auburn ridge-back heard Strider's call at the edge if the Deserted Woodland. He stopped in his tracks. Listening, the male thought he could sense a hint of urgency in Strider's call - although it was well masked, as the howl was smooth and even.
Turning to Valentina, Tyrant blinked.
"Val, I'm going to run on ahead. Can you continue after me with Jake?" He smiled at his mate, then at the dalmation, nodded, and bounded away into the undergrowth. Usually, he would've asked Jake and Valentina to run with him. But Jake was tired and injured, and Tyrant didn't want to exhaust him.
The male soon reached the lip of the slope leading down to the Hollow. He slipped easily over it and slid down the hill into the gang's base, where his mahogany eyes landed on Reverie, Trissacar and Strider.
He smiled briefly at the two female's, then padded straight to the alsation, tilting his head to the side.
"Hello, Strider," He said warmly in his deep, kind voice. "Did you need me?"

OOC: Mom's asleep... *rushes on*
IC: Strider was shocked at the shaman's reaction to him. He was just a hunter, no more, no less. Still, he bowed low to the ground as the shaman approached him. "'Ello M'lady. Um, I was looking for Tyrant myself. I need to speak to him.
His eyes caught movement as Reverie came forward. "Reverie, do you know where Tyrant is? I really need to speak with him. It's about my past..." His voice trailed off.
"Lord Devilish, what shall we do with it?" The dog smiled, a smile that sent shivers down Strider's spine. "Why, treat it like any other pup. Teach it how to live." With a swift bark from Devilish, many dogs sprang for the bushes. Looking around, Strider recoiled. Many had cat claws stuck to their collars, while others had scars that made their faces deformed.
"Kill it," growled Bone, but Devilish turned and bit the dog's muzzle. With a scream, Bone jumped back, licking his muzzle as best he could. "No, don't kill it." Devilish turned to his warriors. "I say we should torcher it."
Strider shivered. That was in the past, and he now had to think of the what was to come. He dipped his head to Reverie and was about to answer her when Tyrant appeared.
He bowed lower to Tyrant than he had to Triss or Reverie. He WAS top-dog, after all.
"Tyrant. I need to finish some... stuff. I ask that you allow me to leave, if only for a short span of days such as a week."
His heart beat agents his ribs as he waited. Strider hadn't gone after Devilish Delight for years, and now, he had gotten wind that Devilish Delight was near.
A shiver ran down his spine as wind ruffled his fur. Would Tyrant agree, or not?

Tyrant frowned at Strider's strange request. It was obvious that the brute was holding something back... the Top Dog only hoped that that something didn't get him into trouble.
After a moment's thought, Tyrant dipped his head.
"Of course, Strider. You must follow your heart. I hope you return, for we will miss you if you don't," He smiled bracingly. Whatever it was that Strider had to do, he could always be welcomed back at the gang.
---
Reverie's sharp occuli scrutinised Strider's face. She, too, was curious as to what he was going to do. Usually, she would have come right out and questioned him... but something held her back. Strider had become almost a friend to her in the time they had known each other, and he seemed serious. For once, the guardian decided not to pry.
Instead, she dipped her head to the alsation, a gesture of farewell.

Strider sighed happily. "Thank you," he said, bowing to Tyrant. Devilish would have done not of the sort. He would have killed a warrior for asking to go somewhere. His heart raced as he thought of what he was going to do... what he had planned to do when, day after day, he had been beaten and starved almost to death when he was not but a mere pup. He'd kill the brute and revenge all those pups, all those dogs, mothers and fathers who had tried to save their children, mates who had wanted a better life for the one they loved, and normal dogs who got on Devilish's nerves, who had been killed without even the slightest warning or punishment before hand. Turning to Reverie, he smiled at her, but bowed slightly. Turning to Triss, he again bowed and backed away. "Bye. I'll be back as soon as possible." With a quick turn, Strider was off, his paws hitting the ground over and over again, the wind running threw his fur. He breathed in the new air and smiled. Only two words did he think of before he left the place... but not forever. ' Payback Time.' OOC: Ok, so when I can come back on, I'll have Strider come back. See ya.

A piercing howl caused Tyran't head to jerk upwards suddenly, his ears alert. He listened attentively until the sound faded, and his heart began to thump quickly against his rib cage. It was Valentina! If she was hurt... he didn't know what he'd do if his mate had been injured.
The Top Dog discarded all thoughts of panic, instantly settling into a practical state of mind. He turned quickly to Triss, the shaman.
"Come with me, Triss." He said, his voice low and serious. Reverie stepped up to his shoulder, her face grave. He simply nodded, then turned and set off towards the borders, his dark eyes blazing, his jaw set, the Esterela Mountain dog hot on his heels.

Jake followed his sensitive nares, following Tyrant at his normal, ground-eating trot. His spirits had been lifted slightly, now that his future was somewhat secure.
He seen Tyrant and sped up slightly and as soon as he was almost close to Tyrant and a few othergang dogs, a piercing howl cut through the air, making Jake stop in his tracks and shudder.
Wolves.
Wolves were common in the woods were he was from, but they were shy creatures. But one here? In the city? Around people? It just didn't feel... right.
And, in the end, the others didn't too. He watched Tyrant speed off, a few dogs at his heels, his demenor urgent.
Somethings wrong... Jake thought, his folded auds perked slightly.
Well, I'm a gang dog now. And I must help if I can Jake thought as he speed off too, following Tyrant's lead. Even though he was tired, his breed was built to run for long periods at a time, and he had all the energy he needed for now.
