He only gave a small smile on the compliment. He thought he did better then he ever had before. I wonder what I'll have the makings of. He followed her back to the starting place once again waiting for anything the top dog had to say. His tail lightly thumped against the ground. He looked over to the one who had gone after Tyrant and gave a smile.
She gave a bright smile, pleased that she had done some good. She walked back to were they first started. I actually did better then I thought I would have. Her tail wagged with her new found joy. She again payed attention, not wishing to miss anything important she would have to do.

The femme would do nothing except await Tyrants speach. She smiled slightly, gaze moving around the area. A small sigh would be evapourated from her vocals, as her form lifted, and libs streched. She knew what was next. Hunting. This would be a good one, more food for the gang to eat.
☼
I wonder how good he will be..
☼
Was the thought that went through her mind at the current time.

Strider still sat in the shadows, one of his favorite places. He watched the rials. He hoped he would have his trial would come soon. With a small smile, he waited, and waited. 'When's my trial?' he thought, almost like a little kid. He almost shook his head to get the thought out. 'I'll just have to be patient,' he thought, sighing.

The broad form of the rhodesian ridgeback Lord followed Amaya closely through the foliage. She was a pretty average tracker, reasonabley good. He mused. I'll have to see how she does in hunting. And perhaps I'll get her and Sabre to race each other. Speed is important if they are to become scouts.
Finally, the pair reached the small clearing and Tyrant stepped out into baking sunlight, suddenly craving the wonderful shade of the trees. Padding over to Suia, he reclined upon broad rust red aunches beside her and surveyed the two new dogs with warm brown occuli before turning to the hunter.
"Amaya did quite well in that challenge, not brilliantly, but well enough." He breathed into her ear, soft enough so the other two didn't hear. He didn't want to form an argument over who had done better, or to cause bitterness. "How did Sabre do?"

her voice was quiet too, as she answered back, though after a little while of thinking how he done. After a deep breath her muzzle parted.
He was good. Maybe not too fast. I think he will do better on the hunting trails..
She was sure of the answer, and nodded firmly to herself. The dog did seem like a hunter. She sat down awaiting Tyrant to say about the hunting trails now. She remembered when she done them. She was rather slow in tracking, but good in hunting, and that made her a hunter which she was proud to be.

Tyrant nodded thoughfully at her words, then lifted his head, smiling at the oter two. "Please excuse our whispered conversations." He said cheerfully, nodding to Amaya, then Sabre in turn. "Now we shall start the hunting trials. Both of you, leave now and hunt down as much prey as you possibly can. Go!"
He waited a moment, giving the two time to leave, before turning to Suia. "Next, I think the two are going to have a quick race. Not against each other, alone, to see how fast they are. You will stay here, and I will run into the woods in striahgt line and mark the finishing line with scent for them." He explaind quickly.

Okay. I will wait. It is a good idea.
This was said with a smirk, the fae now sitting down, wondering how well they were doing. Probaly good. And Sabre would be too. She could see he had the skills of a hunter. It was very clear to see. Tail curled around her hind in a polite manner, while awaiting Tyrants bark to tell them to finish.
Not too long now..
Was whispered after a short while.

Strider coughed a bit. He hadn't ment to. 'Stupid bug!' he thought irritably. When was Tyrant going to test Strider? He was impationt. With a small sigh, he layed down. 'I'll just have to be pationt. Just... pationt.'
Looking up, he saw the sky being tainted with the sunset. It was beautiful!

Tyrant glanced around as Strider arrived, and a smile played upon his maw. "Ah! Hello, Strider. We started without you, my apologies." He turned to Suia momentarily to say. "Suia, can you please wait here while I test Strider's tracking? The otehr two sould return son." Throwing back his head, he released an achoing bark to indicate the end of the hunt.
"Alright, Strider, wait here until Suia tells you to go, then come and find me." He said. Then, he dashed off, using the same routine as he had before in an attempt to confuse his tracker.
ooc: Excuse brief post. I'm impatient to post as Reverie. Lol.

Strider nodded. He muttered so that nobody could hear him, "I was in the shadows. Any one could've seen me!" He waited, wondering when he was surposed to go after Tyrant. Shifting around, Strider gazed at the envierment. 'Looks like I'll have to go pretty fast to catch up to Tyrant. Hm... Oh well.' He decided to use the extra power in his nose.

When sure that tyrant had finished, a nod was given to Strider, obviously telling him to go. A small smile played on her muzzle, as she looked around. She loved this Gang. It was all that she had ever wanted.. Thinking how fortunate she was, she thought of her parents. Yes, they abandoned her.. She shook the bad thought from her head.
Don't lose yourself Siua..
This was the only thought placed in her mind at the current moment as she sat. She cleared her mind, thinking of other things. Tyrant. That made her brighten up a bit.

Strider jumped up and pressed his nose to the ground. Different smell interfered with Tyrants, but it was still there. Following it, he sniffed over and over again, going in circles and running. His eyes were kept on the trail. He ran, but not as fast as he could so he won't loss the scent.

He had started his hunt as soon as the order was given to him. He nose was held closely to the ground as he tried to catch the scent of good pray. This would be something that he knew how to do very well. Experience from having to find food for himself. It wasn't long before the scent of a rabbit caught his attention. He crouched down low, ready to pounce at his new found prey. At a timed moment, he jumped at his target. He was happy to find out that he was able to get it. He held it in his jaws, giving a look around. He was able to throw the limp rabbit onto his back before looking around once again.
Amaya on the other hand had a bit more trouble finding good pray. She was able to find a mouse after a while. She was definitely not a hunter. She didn't hunt, she ran or liked to meet others. She crouched down, ready to launch herself at the mouse. She jumped at her target and it was about to get away but she quickly caught it before it could. There's no way I'm gonna to do good in this test. Why can't it be a race or something like that? She gave a sigh as she held the mouse beneath her paw.

It had only been 10 minutes. 'Tyrant must've gone pretty far,' he thought as his nose sniffed up many scents, but Strider stayed on Tyrants. It was defently getting stronger. Smiling to himself, Strider truged on. Moments later, he found snaped branches that nearly screamed 'TYRANT WAS HERE!!!!!" Strider continued on, his pawsteps mufled by what little grass that was under his paws.
After what seemed like forever, Strider found a place where the scent of Tyrant was almost over whelming! "Hi!" he said, wagging his tail. Fianally, he had found where Tyrant had hidden himself.

Tyrant grinned as Strider appeared and greeted him, standing up and shaking his aubern pelt before turning sparkling black eyes on the male.
"Well done, Strider." He said, although he made a mental note that Strider was not, perhaps, scout material. Not really hunter material either....... He thought, a small frown creasing his brow. However, the lines soon smoothed out and he smiled. Rev said he was a good fighter. He won't have to be a hunter for long if she's right. The gang does need more guardians, after all. He nodded curtly before turning and beginning to bound away.
Soon, the large Top Dog reached the small clearing, smiling. He glanced around and cocked his head. "Where're Amaya and Sabre?" He questioned Suia, padding over to sit beside her and smiling.
