The large, muscular shape of the Top Dog emerged, creamy rays of sun dappling his aubern pelt, warming him to the very bone. Tyrant was tempted to simply lie down and bask in the wonderful heat of Summer, but he had a job to do.
Glancing over his shoulder to check that the two new members to the gang, the members that were to be tested, were following, Tyrant gave an encouraging smile. Then, he broke into a fast lope.
Soon, the rhodesian ridgeback reached a large clearing. Sunlight streamed through the gap in the trees, illuminating the soft grass that had managed to grow without the competition of the huge, towering oaks and pines.
Tyrant padded to the middle of this clearing and sat down, awaiting the arrival of the other two dogs, Feraimo and Suia.

The two dogs appeared, Feraimo behind Siua. The Labradir sat next to Tyrant before nodding slightly, and Turning to look at Fer. What would they do now? What were the trails like? Hopefully not hard. But she would do good in hunting, she knew it.
These woods.. Beautiful..
Was whispered, looking up through the trees to stare at the sky. She had never been outside the city, and this was great.

Tyrant nodded at Suia's words and smiled, then beckoned for Feraimo to join them in the middle of teh Clearing.
"I have brough you here to begin you trials. These will test your different abilities and enable me to decide what job you would do best to perform for the gang. First, I will test your tracking skills. Suia, you shall start. Feraimo, remain here, Suia, wait for a little while and then follow me, track me. I will hide somewhere."
He explained. Then, he turned without another word and bounded off into the forest.
The Top Dog zigzagged back and forth a bit, trotting past a small stream. Then, he doubled back, retracing his own footprints so that it would be hard to follow his progress. When he reached the miniature river again, he bounded straight in, leaving not a footprint onaway from his previous trail. He splashed down water for a while util he came to a small bush bordering the stream. He padded out of the water and concealed himself in the foliage, pressing himself to the ground.
ooc: Again, be right back. Lol.

[Oki! Come back soon! And Suia should get this right for tracking prey]
The fae nodded quickly, before seeing him leave. She waited for a few mintues, before putting muzzle on the ground, taking in the scents, and looking at the tracks. Silently she followed, not getting confused in the bit where the tracks were doubled. In the water she used scent only, though it was hard because the scent was mingled with the water, and because he had splashed about. Yet, the scent was not lost. She came to the bush, crouched down, and pounced forward, landing in the bush, just infront of him so she wouldn't annoy him.
Was that okay?
This was asked in a polite tone, a small smile on her muzzle. Hopefully she would pass.

ooc: Actually, this was more for scout stuff, but I suppose she should be a good tracker anyway for hunting.
bic: Tyrant chuckled as Suia appeared before him and nodded, standing off and giving his pelt a quick shake to rid himself of the leaves and twigs that had clung to him.
"Perfect!" He exclaimed good naturedly. "Please go back and tell Feraimo to track me too. Oh, and go a different way than the one you've come, I don't want him finding me to easily."
He grinned and crouched down low again, shuffling backwards until he was all but concealed by the foliage.

Slowly, she nodded, and began her way back, yet in a longer way to soon reach Feraimo. With a smirk, she began to speak.
Its your turn. Good Luck!
The smirk turned to a grin as she sat down where he was.
Feraimo smiled slightly, and began going, nose scenting the ground. He found it easy, moving across the same place Tyrant went. When it doubled up, he stopped for a second, then continued, and in the water went across rather quickly. Quicker than Siua; Yes, for he had speed. He put his snout through the bushes, backing up slightly when seeing the alpha.

Tyrant smiled as Feraimo's caramel hued head appeared, pressing through the foliage. He stood up once more and nodded to the male, mahogany hued occuli dancing.
"Well done. That was very fast." He congratulated the dog warmly. "Let's get back to the Clearing, I have another challenge for you."
With that, Tyrant turned and sped off, plunging through the foliage, heading back in the direction of Suia.

[Nope. Look at mine! x.x;]
Feraimo followed swiftly, catching up with Tyrant quickly. Fast he was, perfect for a scout. Looking at Siua, he nodded, and sighed. What was next? A HARDER test?
Siua smiled when Tyrant returned, murring slightly. Oh how she liked him.. Form got to a stand, as a yawn was emmited. The next one would maybe be hunting.. Good at that she was. She had learned over her years great ways to get food, mostly rabbits and such. Though she was also good at getting food from humans.
Is there more?
She knew the answer, but just wanted to hear him talk.

Tyrant smiled and nodded at Suia's question. "'Fraid so." He said, "Next will be hunting. I am going to wait here, I want your two to go an catch as much prey as possible. When you hear my bark, return here. Then, we will go into the city and I will test your hutning skills again, for you will need to be able to scavenge and beg as well, for in the winter moons food is scarce."
With the explanation finished, Tyrant nodded, signalling that the two members should start.

They both moved off, Siua going east. Snout was near the ground, searching for the scent of prey. She found what she was looking for. Two rabbits had passed here. Quickly getting to a crouch, the dog crawled forward, hidden from the creatures view. Almost without warning, she pounced, catching one with a paw, and one in her mouth, seeing as they were so close together. She dug a hole in the ground, and plkaced the meat there to collect later.
Next she scented a squirrel. These were hard; but she was good. She moved forward, steps light, no sound made, and once again pounced. The squirrel began to run, but its tail was caught. She dug another hole, and placed it there. This carried on for the rest of the time.
Now, Feraimo was very bad at this. He scented a mouse, moved forward to get it, but was too loud. Just before, he caught something, left it there, and another predator took it. After a long time, he too used the hole method, and caught some, yet no where near as many as Siua.

Tyrant watched as the two dog's dashed off, occuli glowing with pride. He smiled when they had faded into the trees and slid his forepaws out, lowering himself slowly into a lying position. A contented yawn streched his lips, and he blinked drowsily as the sun bathed him in a comforting warmth.
The Top Dog lay like this for a while, about twenty minutes. Then, he stood and streched luxuriously, his forepaws thrust out infront of him, his hind legs bunched. Once he hd straightened up and licked his chops, he pointed his maw heavenward and three booming barks wwere released echoing through the forest and sending any prey in the surrounding areas plunging for cover. The hunt was over. Feraimo and Suia were to collect their prey and report to him.

Siua looked around when hearing Tyrant, and began digging up the holes and collecting prey. It was summer; The prey was plenty, and she had caugh more than 10 peices of prey. It took her awhile to get it all there, almost 3 times she had to go collect more. She then sat down as close to Tyrant as she would dare, and awaited Feraimo.
Did I do okay?
Feraimo came latter. He only caught 7 peices of prey. A small sigh was given, head hung low in sadness. He had failed. That was it. He lost. He coudln't hunt, And that was all there was to it. He couldn't catch many prey. Looking to Siuas pile, he felt more embaressed. She had so much.
