Strider padded silently across the ground, looking at the odd metle objects. What were they? Why were they there? Where did they come from? Every time Strider looked at them, questions filled his head. He had never entered the park. He didn't even know that a gang lived here. He thought loners or something lived here. Any ways, why should Strider care? He wasn't going to be here long, was he? This was a nice city. Maybe he could find another human to take him in. No. After what they did to him and his family. He would NEVER forgive them.

Amaya walked around, trying to find her friend. She looked around but still no sign of him. She stopped and her ears perked. She caught the scent of another dog. He didn't seem familiar so she walked slowly in his direction. His form soon fell into her sight.
Is he another dog from the gang? If he's not, am I suppose to inform my Leader?
She continued to think about what she was supposed to do. She decided just to find out who he was and ask what he was planning to do if he didn't belong.

Strider smelled the other dog before he saw her. He wasn't frightened. Backing away alittle, he growled, "Don't come to close. I'm not a very trusting dog." Strider woundered what she wanted. Why was she here? Why was she troubling him? Had her done something wrong? No, all he had done was make a bed in the theater and looked around. He had no way of knowing the danger he was in. Strider hadn't stopped and smelled the dog scents, so how could he have known that he had entered a gang's camp?

A low growl suddenly erupted from beneath a large slide, and a large shadow shifted. Then, a slendr, tapering muzzle protruded from the darkness, followed by a shaggy fawn body. Dark lips were pulled back, revealing white fangs glistening with beads of drool.
Reverie padded from her hiding place and made her way slowly between Amaya and Strider, dark eyes blazed as they turned on the alsation and another growl escaped the huge Esterela Mountain dog. She glanced back to her fellow gang member, now behind her, and gave a short nod, then whirled back to face Strider.
"Don't you /dare/ threaten a member of my Lords gang on our territory, intruder." She hissed furiously. "I am not particulary trusting either, and I do not see fit to trust you."
A ferocious snarl put emphasis to her words and her hackles bristled.

Strider growled again. This she-dog was pretty, but he was able to look past that. "I listen to no-one," he retorted. "If you knew what happened in my life, I think you would be on my side, but I don't really care. It's not like I'm going to be living here forever," Strider frowned. How long would it be until he was going to leave?

Yet another growl 'scaped Reverie's lips and her teeth clipped sharply together. Brown eyes narrowed dangeroulsy and limp auds pulled back. She lowered her body in a smooth movement and her gaze flicked over Strider once, analysing her opponent.
"I warned you. You have crossed me on my Lords land, and now you will pay."
She snarled, lunging forward even before she had finished speaking. She haulted abruptly before him and lunged at lightning speed to the side, paw flashing out in an atempt to catch his exposed shoulder.

Strider attemted to duck, and nearly suckcided, but Reverie's paw hit his shoulder and he went rolling. Jumping up with speed fster than a snake, Strider dipped and jumped lightly to Riverie's side and tried kicking her side so that if she turned around he would hit her, gently, on the muzzle.

Reverie's growl grew louder, a note of triumph obvious as her paw glanced Strider's shoulder. She started at his quick recovery and leapt hastily to the side. But not fast enough. His kick caught her in the side and she gasped, backing up quickly, occuli dancing.
"You're not bad. But not good enough either."
She taunted, snapping her jaws together. Then she began to circle the alsation, menacing rumbles rolling out of parted, ebonite hued jaws.

"Why thank you," he growled. "I've learned from a great teacher. Mother nature herself! I also learned from crulty!" Strider spat the last word out with all of his hatred. He didn't hate Reverie. He hated crulty. With a bark that shook his body, he faked a right and ducked, jetting out a paw, hoping agenst hope to nock Reverie off of her feet. Maybe he could leave, but he wasn't one to turn back from a fight unless it was hopless.

Reverie cocked and eyebrow at the alsations words, and was caught unawares as his foot darted out. She leapt into the air clumsily, and the paw narrowly missed her forepaws. However, it struck her hard in her left hind-paw and sent her off balance. A growl erupted in her throat and she was about to lunge at the alsation when she stopped suddenly and an extrodinary thing happened. She laughed.
This was no mocking laugh. This was a hearty chuckle of amusement. A smile graced her lips and she plonked herself down upon shaggy hind-legs and cocked her head.
"You are the first I have met who has been able to throw me off balance, you mangy mutt." She said, though her voice was not as unkind as before, and the harsh edge to her voice had almost disapeared. "I am impressed. Very impressed. Follow me, I'll take you to my Lord."
And with that, the great Esterela Mountain dog turned and began to pad away, without a backwards glance at Strider.

Strider was amazed. HE was the first one to throw this dog off balance? Why was she makeing such a big deal? With a sigh, he decided it wouldn't kill him to trust a dog, and he followed her.
He was amazed at the surroundings. Where did the dogs sleep? Where did they eat? What WAS this place? Questions were whirling threw his mind. He looked back at his guide and smiled.
