A muscular white dog padded around a park. Suddenly his floppy brown ears perked forward, and his nostrils flared. He could scent intresting dog-marks. He had ventured upon a border.

"Hello?" he howled in a lonesome way. He wasn't meant to be a loner. His owners, although kind, had starved him of the company of fellow canids.

Cody sat back on his lightly speckled haunches and lifted his head to the darkening sky. Dusk was coming soon . . .

"If no one is here, you could say so," he barked, not impatiently but longingly. He wagged his tail as he smelt dogs . . . alas, they were but the border marks. He put his nose to a tree, and snorted as he backed away. A strong male dog . . . just as he had seen when he first wandered upon this magnificent city.

Chocolate brown eyes stared out at the dog. A smile formed as a thought crossed her mind. 'Should I report back to Tyrant now? Well, I could go and greet him seeing as he looks a bit lonely.' A large white sheepdog stepped out from behind some bushes. Slowly, she made her way over to the male. She stood straight, although not too much to make sure she didn't look intimidating. "Hello, may I ask you why you have come to my Lord's lands?" She looked him over and gave a warm smile in seeing no danger. She had guessed he probably wanted to join. She waited patiently for his response.

Cody shivered with both respect and excitement. The first dog he saw in the city! Well, except for the big reddish-brown dog earilier; this was the first one to speak to him, at least!

"Er--I'm Cody," he stammered. Soon he gathered up all of his courage. Raising his head high, but not high enough to look disrespectful, he barked, "I come to join! I have traveled far looking for a new home. If I were to join your group I would be most honored and loyal." He lowered his head again, his tail swishing in the grass.

She nodded her head as she listened to his words. "I'm sure my Lord would let you join seeing as he seems to be a kind dog." She paused a bit before remembering something. "I'm known as Amaya." Her tail lightly swayed behind her. She turned to look in the direction the gang was currently at. She turned her head to look back at Cody. "Just follow me and I will take you to him." She faced forward once more and slowly walked off. She stopped and looked back to make sure he was following. Once she was sure she took off behind the bushes she had once entered from.
