(OOC: XD Random title, I was listening to AFI. :'D)) It was sweltering. Even while the sun--appearing to sink into the water-- was dropping, the heat stayed. And so it would stay until far later, when the moon was at it's peak, and when morning was edging nearer. However, despite this heat, a large male dog padded past, pausing randomly and reclining upon powerful haunches. The scents of this particular earth told him to stop. An invisible line that ended the random territory, and began one that was claimed. He was not stupid, and didn't dare to cross. But all the same; he wasn't scared either. He could hold his own. Fact is, he didn't want to. Fights were all well when the reason is reason enough, but a fight because of overstepping into someone else's boundaries? Stupid. The brute known as Khern was content to wait patiently for the alpha of this terrain to appear. Then, he would see if he was allowed or not. The strange eyes of the male looked around carefully, their amber and icy pools searching for signs of movement. His nose twitched almost nonstop, scenting the air for another. (OOC: ..whew.. .. pardon for the rambly post. u_u))

ooc: No, that's fine. I lurv rambly posts!
bic: A rust maw was lifted heavenwards, leathery nares flared. Many familiar scents wafted into the gaping caverns that were a rhodesian ridgebacks nostrils, but he ignored them, pushing them to the side so he could get a good sniff of a scent that was bolder and more pungent that the rest. The scent of anotehr dog. Tyrant quickly analysed the scent, working out that this dogs was male, unafraid and friendly.
Assuming his 'welcoming leader' composition, which he wore most of the time, Tyrant began on the short journey to the source of the smell, well toned muscles rippling under cropped coat. When he reached the dog, his gaze quickly washed over him, taking in the dog's unique appearance before speaking.
"Greetings, stranger. You are standing upon the borders to my land. May I ask your name and intentions?"
He cocked his head as he finished his mini speech. His whip like plume was raised in a dominant position, but his eyes were sparkling with a friendly welcome.

OOC: XD Same. I do them all the time. Some people get annoyed though.))
The huge mottled brute had not been taken unawares by the stranger dog, and was silent for a moment, taking in this new dog's appearence, his own nose twitching still. Even before the ridgeback had spoken, Khern knew this was a creature of high ranking. His posture and way of walking, the way he held himself, and the way he spoke all told this. It was very obvious.
With this knowledge, the husky shepherd spoke, his tone calm.
"The name is Khern. My intentions..."
He trailed off, thinking. Was he to join? Or did he wish to be a loner? No doubt it would be easier to live when you had a pack at your back. But he did like his solitude..then again..his husky side longed to be with others, though it was a very...mute longing.
"I think I'd like to enter your lands. As of now, my intentions are to be with the pack. If." He paused, arching a brow quizzically. "You would allow me to do so."
His own banner twitched, as he now gave a slight dip of his maw to the male. Respectful, as this was, after all, the owner of the land.

Tyrant inclined his head, his auds perked, absorbing the words of the husky cross. He then inclined his head in a nod and a smile graced his broad maw.
"Yes, of course. You are welcome to join us here Please, follow me to our den."
He said, turning around and padding away from the mottled brute he ahd just greeted, slim tail swaying from side to side.
