Bright earthly optics danced with limitless joy as she looked at all the contraptions the hairless apes had made. Truly, it was a sight to behold since they were such strange structures. What where they for? Cranium cutely titled to the side as she questioned the existence of such things. She had seen the ape's pups play around the area once before but was always curious about how a simple metal object could bring them such joy. Well, there was only one way to find out. Big doe shaped eyes glittered with mischievousness as she started toward a piece of wood held up by metal strings. 'A swing.' That's what they had called it and she seemed quite determined to see exactly how it worked. Black snout gently wiped away the small layer of snow that covered the seat. A gentle breeze blew past her snowy hued pelt yet did not make her shiver from the cold. Her thick coat protected her well and this she was very thankful for.
She arose on strong hind limbs while the front set themselves on the board of wood. Gently, she pushed forward and was a bit surprised when bodice quickly followed in suit. She tried to keep herself up right although falling to the ground seemed like a strong option at the moment. She was able to stop though and quickly note that it wasn't wise to push when you weren't fully seated. Snowy mitts slid completely over the swing and touched the snow layered ground on the other side. Her stomach was now touching the swing, and two paws were each on opposite sides. This wasn't right at all and she was now becoming frustrated with the swing. 'This won't due at all.' She fully removed herself from the object and gave a snort in it's direction as she walked to a different part of the park. She was now near what the hairless apes called a 'slide'. She wasn't sure about this thing also but she didn't wish to test it.
Snowy bodice laid itself under the slide as a temporary place to rest. Cranium rested itself upon large mitts as earth doe eyes scanned the place. Where were her fellow gang members? It had been a while since she had seen one of them but maybe what happened with a wolf seemed to be a problem. No, she hadn't been there when the beast had made it's appearance and wished to never come in contact with the barbarian. Fluffy banner came to curl around her rump as she tried to relax. She really did love this great city. It had become her home for quite some time now and she wouldn't trade it for any other. 'Such a lovely sight this city is. Only if I were to be able to share this joy with another.' She no longer dwells on this problem but she did find it nice to have company every now and then. She hadn't seen some new members in quite some time and it made her wonder.
Was there no other gang in this city? Where they the only ones or was there another out there similar to them. It would be nice to know they had an Allie although that looked far off. They seemed to be the only ones and it worried her a bit. Were there no others? This city was running out of canines and it made her think back to the hairless apes. They were taking full control of the city and it slightly angered the large femme. She only shook her head at her own silliness and gave a small smile. One that was truly genuine and hadn't graced her features in quite some time. It's seems her smiles where getting more rare, but at the same time holding more meaning then they had once before. She was learning to smile again and it was wonderful thing to do again.

White pistons sprang along the snowy earth, one sporting a long, crimson scar. Cody staggered through the snow, sighing. The shaman had just released him from her den -- perhaps against others' wishes, with the wolf around -- as his fever had gone away quickly after her treatment. The lightly speckled brute saw a pretty femme balancing on the swing, and he gave a tiny laugh. His mocha ears pricked as she jumped off and went to rest under a slide close by... His liquid mahogany eyes became clouded with memories as he looked at the slide...
A younger Cody bounded along through the grass, occasionally biting at his lead, when he approached a tall, wooden mass ahead of him. With a gasp he stopped, but the leash accidentally jerked him forward. The Human pup patted him quickly before picking him up, wriggling to get free, and placed him on the wood. He saw a long metal...thing...and was staring inquisitively at it, tilting his skull to one side. The Human pup pushed him and he went sliding down with a yelp into the paws of another Human. This was repeated many times, and by the end of the day his long plume was waving happily after sliding down the slide countless times.
Cody blinked once more and padded up to the fae, flopping down in the snow and murmuring a, "Hello..." He looked up at the slide, rising to his dirty mitts, and ran to the other side. He scaled the ladder clumsily, almost slipping but catching himself in time. His talons clawed at the top and he brought himself up. The three-year-old with the heart of a puppy crouched like only a herding dog could, rump wriggling, and he bounced, half slipping and half falling down the slide with a bark of surprise and enjoyment.
Tumbling into the snow, Cody waved his banner and sighed, resting his own head on his paws and glancing at the beautiful, thick-furred femme.

She had found out she had not been left alone for long. Snowy auds perked at the small laugh that was tiny but could still be heard. She noticed that winter was quickly disappearing while spring now took it's place in return. She was only happy that her thick coat was able to protect her from winter but it would be useless in the summer. She didn't care for that now since it was still only the beginning of a new season. Yes, the season where everything bloomed, canines grew wiser another year, and new lives were brought into this world. She was snapped out of her thoughts as a brute came over to the slide and gave her a simple 'hello'. She merely nodded and watched as he climbed up the large object. Interest and curiosity quickly set in as she stood and shook her pelt clean of any dirt. Snowy mitts brought her over to the front but stirred clear of being in the brute's way.
She gave a soft giggle as he had come down the slide and tumbled into the soft snow. He was lucky that it had not melted yet or nothing would have cushioned his fall. She slowly grew closer and cranium titled to the side as she gave him the cutest look. Jaws parted as warm, gentle lyrics flowed like a soft lullaby. "Haven't I met you once before?" She gave a genuine smile as she looked at the brute with a kind gaze. She liked the thought of making him into a friend that she could actually spend time with or maybe...no, she was just being silly. Feathery banner gently wagged in a steady rhythm as she happily awaited anything that would hint her to who he was. Surely, she wouldn't forget a handsome brute but she had probably met him during her depression. That had not been such a wonderful time but she was brighter than ever now.

Dirty white brute looked up into her kind honey pools for a moment and gave a silly grin. Soon he sat back on his haunches and tilted his skull to one side, mocha-mottled auds pricked. Her words, "Haven't I met you once before?" gave him a tiny shock. He nodded dumbly for a moment, then parted his jaws to reply.
"Amaya!" he growled quietly. "I think you've met me before... Hmm..." He looked thoughtful, but it was mocking gently. "You only welcomed me into the gang...!" He smiled warmly and swished his thin banner in reply, shaking his pelt before sitting again.

She watched as he had quickly responded to her question and growled her name quietly. She knew she had seen his face before and was slightly embarrassed when she realized she had been the one to first welcome him. Her facial features spoke of her embarrassment as she took on a light shade of pink. Oh well, didn't look like she had such a great memory after all. She only shook her head and let it drop a little as she tried to regain her composure. Words came out soft and barely audible but in the cutest way. "Oh....well, doesn't look like I can remember things quite well. She had said it meekly as she tried to make up for forgetting such a thing. It may not have bother anyone else, but Amaya had to remember all her friends unless she would feel like a bad one. She didn't like the thought of losing a friend over what she had done.
But of course, she was over exaggerating as usual. Always thinking that everyone was going to leave her because of something she did. Cranium snapped up as she let a quick smile appear as her bright mood returned. "Well, I'll never be able to forget such a handsome brute now that know." Compliments weren't something she usually gave to someone when it had to do with appearance. Feathery banner happily swung in a faster rhythm than it had before. She was going to need company during spring time unless she wanted to feel lonely again. "So, how have ya been?" Snowy cranium titled to the side as it always would when she asked a question. Don't ask her why, it was a habit that she couldn't seem to get rid of.

The cattle dog mix watched her embarrased reaction and he took a step toward her, as if to laugh and tell her it was okay, but he sat back down and looked up into the sky distractedly.
"You really think I'm handsome?" His tail beat the air and he laughed, posing with one paw in the air and his chest puffed out, before flipping over onto his back and sighing.
"Oh... Well, I was attacked by a wolf, and I froze in the snow, and I was stuck in the healing den for a long while with a fever, so... Nothing much happened," he joked, running his tongue down the scar on his leg. He studied it for a moment, wondering if such a mark on his limb made him look courageous or not, then set it down in the slush and smiled. "I love spring," he murmured, half to himself.

She watched as he had taken a step forward during her innocent reaction but changed direction in what he was going to say. She was a bit surprised for him to ask if he was really handsome. 'Why wouldn't you be?' She kept that thought to herself though as she looked up at the sky with a new found interest. She gave a gentle giggle when she glanced over and saw the pose he was in. The soft expression vanished and was replaced with concern as he explained his attack. She had heard of the running wild wolf but had never come into contact with him. She gave a sigh as he had finished his words in a slightly joking manner. Cranium had turned the opposite direction at that point in the conversation. 'He could have died.' She took everything too seriously if you asked her, but that's what he was here for. That put a smile on her face as she glanced back at the brute.
He had a sense of humor and looked to the brighter side of things. They were somewhat opposites in a way and that made her wonder. She was starting to feel as though he was her other half and would complete her lonely life if she was brave enough to even say anything about her liking him. Auds perked and turned in his direction at his comment that seemed to be to himself but her at the same time. "It's my favorite season besides fall. It's a time when new things are brought into this world and everything blooms into what they were meant to be." Her head had lowered as she though over her words more. She looked back at Cody with a small smile as she said something else. "Cody, have you ever loved anyone before?" It was a bit personal but she was still curious about the brute's life.

"It's my favorite season besides fall. It's a time when new things are brought into this world and everything blooms into what they were meant to be."
Cody listened to her beautiful, neat articulations and gave a tiny sigh. He pawed aside some more of the white slop and said, "Huh. I like fall, too," really meaning it. He looked over at Amaya, ivories flashing in another grin. It seemed whenever he was around her he couldn't keep that dumb smile off of his face.
Then she asked the question, and he froze. Have I ever loved someone? he echoed in his mind, mahogany orbs widening a touch. An odd glow seemed to flow through his veins, quickening his heartbeat, even if the smile had faded. "Well," he mumbled, "there was a dog back home, that lived in the house behind me... I don't know if I really loved her, but...I liked her, I guess." He looked up at the brilliant ivory femme again, and suddenly became lost in her tawny depths, trying in vain to tear his gaze away. A thought formed in the back of his head, quiet but very noticable at the same time.
Maybe I'm loving again...
