Tyrant smiled asd he watched Valentina's display of affection t'wards Reverie, and his eyes brightened. He met her gaze as she began to speak, and went to reply.
"Valentina! No....." But the femme was already sprinting away, and Tyrant didn't want to leave Reverie's side again until he was sure she was better. Turning back, he sighed.
Tyrant didn't like to push people, he had a belief that if they wanted to do something, they would do it, and pressurising them did no good what-so-ever. But Valentina was right, the gang did need this fox-dog. And she's more than welcome to join.... I'm sure Valentina won't push to hard.
Slightly comforted, Tyrant lowered himself to his haunches, warm brown eyes darting over Reverie's sleeping body.

Some time later the wolven femme loped back into the Hollow, pausing halfway through the entrance. She almost bounded down the incline that led to the cavernous hide-out, but upon landing after a single graceful leap, the pain seared through her body, radiating from her shoulder, and she almost collapsed. She braced herself against the wall to keep from falling, and after a few deep breaths she continued more slowly down the passageway to where Tyrant, Reverie, Leon, Cody, and the old dog Bayarn still waited, though she had no idea of these last three.
Her bright blue eyes sought ought Tyrant's chocolate gaze, and she waltzed up to him with a grin on her face, trying her best not limp, all though a grimace did flash across her smile once or twice. Three words was all it took; "She's comin' back!" Valentina announced. She shook her thick scarlet pelt briefly, as though to shake off the pain, and then sat down.
Her icy gaze roamed over Reverie's peacefully sleeping body, and her smile faded, and again her eyes were filled with weariness, all though they lacked the tone of utter despair they had held before the black fox-dog Trisscar had come to the rescue. A small smile flitted across her face but it was pained and lacked humor. Upon seeing her fallen friend, it dawned on Valentina just how exhausted she herself was. She hadn't slept or hardly even paused since their escape, and she suddenly felt there was nothing left within her.
She slowly laid down, her slender limbs folding smoothly beneath her, and she curled her thick plume about her and leaned her head against Reverie's back. Her creamy lashes rested together, but she opened and closed her blue eyes a few times struggling to stay conscious, all though she began to doze off, muttering now and again. "I brought her back Tyrant...she coming...She's coming back and it'll be all right now Rev, it'll be all right..." Finally her breathing became slow and steady, though her velveteen ears kept twitching and the sleep was uneasy.

Tyrant's occuli flicked up from Reverie's body as a flash of red caught his attention at the crest of the slope directly to his right. He turned his head to see Valentina bound down into the hollow, and his eyes began to dance with hope as he noted her lively posture.
"She's coming back!" Tyrant repeated with a broad grin, after his auds had caught the wonderful tidings. His long, slender plume began to beat the air happily, and he released a soft chuckle as Valentina slid into a lying position, resting her cream and aubern head on her paws.
"Thank you, Valentina." He rumbled, as the femme drifted into an uneasy sleep. It had just dawned on him that she hadn't rested once since Reverie's plight, fighting as hard as he to keep his oldest friend alive, and a sudden burst of affection and gratitude towards her exploded in his chest.

Some long moments later a black figure slipped down the slope, if somewhat shaken. It was Trisscar, with a bundle of pungent-smelling herbs in her jaws. Her brown eyes flashed toward the sleeping Valentina, and she gave a slight smile. She put the herbs down momentarily and murmured, "I have come, Tyrant. I am back. And . . . I plan to stay."
She turned toward Valentina. "Good dreams," she said, her voice a sweet-smelling breath on her wolven ears. She then bowed to the Top Dog and added, "I will take the medications to a den I found . . . for the healer's supplies?" She picked them up, pointed ears still flat against her head, and trotted off. ((I'll update the herb's list and post them there.))

Tyrant turned sharply at the sound of Trisscar's voice, he looked down at the smaller dog with a broad smile plastered across hia maw.
"Thank you, Triss!" He exclaimed happily, whip like tail thrashing happily as he watched her proceed to the Shaman's den, to deposit her herbs.
Throwing back his broad muzzle, Tyrant released a scratchy, doggish howl, telling of the gang's new shaman.

Lowering his muzzle, howled announcement fading, Tyrant licked his chops and gazed at Reverie for a moment, noticing that she looked a lot better than she had, and that her breathing had become almost regular. Getting to his feet, he streched his stiff muscles in an almost cat like manner, the fur along his back rippling as his muscles loosened.
I better go on patrol.... He thought, realising that he had not been out at the borders for nearly two days. I think she'll be ok now that Trissacar is here. I can leave her side now.
Smiling, Tyrant lowered his maw and licked Reverie's cheek affectionately, then slowly rose, shook his short aubern pelt, and set off at a brisk lope, bounding up the slope and off into the woodland.

She only watched as the fox-dog came and went as she helped Reverie. She held a small smile but gave a sigh as she decided she needed to take a walk. She slowly stood up and stretched her legs. She turned and quickly made her way somewhere she didn't know as of yet.

Although it was a sound sleep she'd fallen into, her muscles were still tense and tired when she came to, the fox dog having come and gone and Tyrant and Amaya left, all without her knowing. She rose slowly to her feet, stretching her curvy body like a cat before shaking her pelt from tail tip to nose. She flexed her toes gingerly and looked down at Reverie with eyes of ice that seemed to melt.
Tyrant and Reverie were the only two she knew, and with Reverie asleep and Tyrant gone she found herself in that same awkward but defiant position, sitting in the middle of the Hollow as hen she had first arrived here. Even now she was still contemplating why she was here and for how long. She flicked her scarlet ears and looked around, puzzlement curving her wolven lips. The medicine Trisscar had given her had helped a lot, and the only the pain she felt now was the wound in her shoulder, hidden by her thick red fur, and the tenseness that tugged at her muscles.
She wished Reverie were awake, but refused to wake her. Besides, she doubted her friend wanted to move much and sitting still was doing no good for Valentina at all. She had to get out, breath, and just go somewhere. She nuzzled Reverie's ear with her cold nose, blinked down at her for a second more, then padded smoothly out of the hollow, thick plume sweeping behind her.
